Sound familiar?
Ten open tabs. Zero clear answers.
“The leaves are turning yellow and every forum says something different.”
“I water it when I remember. Then I panic and water it twice.”
“It was a housewarming gift. I don’t even know what it’s called.”
“My cat chews everything. Is this one going to hurt her?”
You don’t need ten opinions. You need one honest answer — and a plan.
How it works
From “what’s wrong?” to “here’s the plan” in under a minute.
Snap a photo
The whole plant, then a close-up of what worries you. Guided capture coaches the shot — no botany degree required.
Get an honest answer
The species, the most likely issue, and the evidence — with a confidence level, not fake certainty. When it’s unsure, it says so.
Follow the plan
A step-by-step care plan, gentle reminders that fit your schedule, and re-checks that show your plant getting better.
What you get
Built for the whole life of your plant — not just the emergency.
Knows your plant by name
Species identification with visible confidence — and honest alternates when it’s a close call.
Finds what’s actually wrong
Overwatering, pests, light, nutrients — ranked by likelihood and backed by the evidence in your photo.
Answers the next question too
“How much is a little water?” Ask follow-ups in plain English, about your actual plant.
Reminders without the guilt
Kind, skippable nudges that fit your schedule. Miss one? Nothing bad happens. Life happens; plants forgive.
Watch the comeback
Every re-check builds a before/after recovery timeline — proof your care is working.
Looks out for curious pets
Clear toxicity flags for pets and small humans, with vet and poison-control pointers when it matters.
Why trust it
The plant app that says “I’m not sure.”
Plant Doctor tells you how confident it is on every single result — “most likely,” never “definitely.” And when a case looks severe or the confidence is low, it points you to a real human at your local nursery or extension service.
- Every diagnosis carries a confidence level and the evidence behind it.
- No dangerous chemical dosing — least-toxic fixes come first, always.
- Toxic to pets or kids? You’ll see it clearly, with vet & poison-control pointers.
- It will never tell you a wild plant or mushroom is safe to eat. Ever. That call belongs to human experts.
These aren’t promises in a PDF — they’re rules enforced in the app’s code, covered by tests that can’t quietly break.

Questions
Fair questions, honest answers.
How accurate is the diagnosis?
Every result comes with a visible confidence level and the evidence behind it — “most likely,” never “definitely.” Good photos help a lot (the app coaches you). And when Plant Doctor isn’t sure, it says so and points you to a local nursery or extension service instead of guessing.
Do I need an account?
No. There’s nothing to sign up for. Your plant collection, history, and reminders live on your phone.
What happens to my photos?
They’re used only to produce your diagnosis, aren’t kept afterwards, and are never used to train AI models. The privacy policy is genuinely one page.
Will it tell me if a plant or mushroom is safe to eat?
No — never, by design. Edibility and foraging safety are calls for human experts, and Plant Doctor will always decline and refer you to one. An app that would answer that question is an app you shouldn’t trust.
Which plants does it know?
Houseplants, garden plants, and ornamentals. Guidance is best-effort plant care — not professional horticultural, medical, or veterinary advice.
Is there an Android version?
Plant Doctor is iPhone-first. Android is on the roadmap.
How do I cancel?
Anytime, in your App Store subscription settings — Pro keeps working until the end of the period you paid for. There’s also a Restore Purchases button in the app.
