Plant Doctor is an iPhone app that uses three photos to identify a plant, suggest likely causes of a problem and give a step-by-step care plan. It explains what it noticed and shows uncertainty, so you have a more useful next step.

What a check-up gives you
The app considers the plant’s species and the visible signs in your photos, together with context you add. It suggests likely explanations and shows the evidence behind them. The treatment plan gives practical steps you can save with the plant.

Confidence is information, not a promise.
A score expresses the AI’s confidence in a result. It is not a guarantee that the cause is correct, and the sample percentages in our screenshots are not a measured accuracy rate for the app. Poor photos, hidden root problems and similar-looking symptoms can make a case uncertain.
Plant Doctor offers best-effort guidance. It will not pretend every plant can be saved. For severe or unclear problems, or a plant you cannot afford to lose, get an in-person opinion from a local nursery or extension service.
What happens to your photos?
Your photos and submitted context are processed to produce the check-up and are not retained by us after the response. They are not used to train AI models. Your saved garden and conversations live on your phone. Read the Privacy Policy for the full explanation.
Care has limits.
The app refuses to tell you whether wild plants or mushrooms are safe to eat. Notes about plants toxic to cats or dogs are educational, not veterinary advice. If a pet has chewed a plant, contact a vet or poison-control service first. The ASPCA plant database is a reference for known toxicity.
The official app
Plant Doctor is independently built and available on the App Store as Plant Doctor - AI Diagnosis. It is in English and requires iPhone with iOS 16.4 or later. Android is planned.
